About RPH Assisted Living and Dementia Care
Our Mission
The mission of the Rochester Presbyterian Home is to provide a fulfilling way of life for older adults in a residential community where each person is truly "at home." We respect and accept the uniqueness and dignity of every individual. We embrace many faith traditions. We commit ourselves to uniting residents, families, staff, and the neighboring community to enrich and nurture the mind, body, and spirit. We celebrate the continuing growth of each individual through loving, resident-centered care.
Our Care
We offer comprehensive health care in an Adult Home setting. Nurses are on the premises around the clock. A Physician's Assistant makes rounds each weekday, and a physician from Highland Hospital makes weekly "house calls." Our medical team, in cooperation with all of our dedicated employees, embraces an Eden Alternative approach to care that promotes the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our elders.
Our Way of Life
Our Home is organized into family teams that place decision-making into the hands of residents and the direct care staff. These more intimate "households" permit a greater emphasis on individual choice - and encourage stronger personal relationships.
We connect our residents with persons of all ages and maintain vital links with the community. Children, from infants to teens,
visit the Home nearly every day, providing residents with the opportunity to give as well as receive.
Our Home
Our Home was recently renovated to include the comforts and ambience of a personal residence. Each floor has its own living room, kitchen, and dining area, with individual private rooms for residents. RPH also has a chapel, fitness center, ice-cream shop, beauty and nail salon, country store, TV room, deck, walking path, greenhouse, gardens, and numerous open as well as enclosed porches.
